Green Bookselling

Although we are not members of the Booksellers Association in 2020 we pledged to become a Green Bookseller and signed up to their Sustainability Manifesto.

We already help to give new life to maps and books by mainly selling second-hand products. However, Team Daisy is also committed to reusing, recycling and adopting ways of working that minimise our impact on the environment.  We are also great believers in 'make do and mend'!

Since we moved in to our new premises in 2022, we have:

• Re-used as many of the bookshelves from our old shop as much as possible
• Sourced equipment and fixtures from local suppliers
• Changed the majority of our lights to low energy bulbs
• Signed up to a supplier that actively promotes and uses renewable energy
• Switched to planet friendly cleaning products
• Switched to planet friendly and Fair Trade tea and coffee
